MOB BEAT TWO MEN FOR SUSPECTING THEM STEALING ESCOM WIRES IN PHALOMBE

An angry mob at Mitekete Trading Centre in Phalombe District has beaten two men severe for suspecting them storing properties belonging to Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM).
According to an eye witness, on Monday 6 March, Escom replaced transformer at the market after the area having no power for one month following the damaged power transformer.
The two were founded on Tuesday night removing some wire cables to the newly restored transformer.
Meanwhile, Police has not yet commented on the matter.
