Councillor for Blantyre City Soche East Ward Leonard Chimbanga has lambasted President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera for inviting former President Peter Mutharika to Sanjika Palace.
President Chakwera is scheduled to meet former heads of state namely Dr. Bakili Muluzi, Dr. Joyce Banda and Peter Mutharika ta Sanjika Palace.
The three leaders are scheduled to meet on Thursday to find ways on how to handle cyclone freddy victims.
But Chimbanga has trashed Chakwera on the matter.
“The Chakwera administration has always trashed APM and all the previous administrations. What has changed now? APM offered to assist on numerous times even offering to send what he termed his boys(Hon Joseph Mwanamveka and Dr. Dalitso Kabambe) what did he get in return? Chipongwe chokhachoka.
“From what I hear Chakwera does not take advice. Kaya pokuti it’s for the sake of our country mwina apite koma sikuti Chakwera akamvera this is just a photo op pretending we are united when deep down he hates the opposition and can’t wait to destroy their bases,” said Chimbanga.
Meanwhile, Mutharika is yet to confirm is availability.
