6 People Killed In Road Accident In Balaka

Six people have died after a vehicle they were traveling in hit a pavement and plunged into Namang’azi river this morning at Phalula in Balaka district.

Balaka Police Officer In-Charge Dan Sauten, said the vehicle, a Toyota Ipsum, registration number BR 9652 was heading to Blantyre from the Lilongwe direction when the accident occurred.

Particulars of the deceased’s are yet known as police are taking the bodies to Balaka district mortuary for identification.
