GANDA URGES GOVERNMENT TO INVEST MORE IN AGRICULTURAL SECTOR

Date:

A call has gone out to government on the need to start investing more in Mega farms which is in line with country’s blueprint vision 2063.

The call comes as parliament is yet to nod to the 2023/2024 national budget.

Chairperson for parliamentary committee on budget and finance Gladys Ganda, has said that the 2023 – 2024 budget is not inspiring as it lacks some effort to invest in agriculture.

According to Ganda Mega farms is deal is as far as ending food insecurity and responding to the disaster management.

Ganda has therefore indicated that the 2063 vision cannot be achieved if government do not take to account issues of investing in agriculture and revising some policies.
