DPP supporters in the north endorses Mutharika

The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in the north endorsed Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika as candidate for the 2025 General elections.

A statement released by the Party confirmed of the development highlighting that the decision was made at a function organised by the Northern Regional Committee in Mzuzu City.

“Vice President for the North, Hon Goodall Gondwe alluded that the Party and the people of north still need Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to finish his developments in the region and Malawi as a whole,” reads the statement.

Meanwhile, Regional Governor of the party in the north, Reverend Christopher Mzomera Ngwira, says if the party’s leader Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika declares to stand again as its torchbearer in the 2025 tripartite elections all the divisions that are there basing on one’s allegiance to a particular aspiring presidential candidate, will cease.
