Police in Nkhotakota have arrested a man who was “accidentally” shot by one of their own at Bua ADMARC deport in the district last week.
Nkhotakota Police Station spokesperson Paul Malimwe has confirmed of the arrest in an interview with the press.
According to Malimwe the man identified Kondwani Mbewe and two others; face inciting violence, unlawful wounding and malicious damage charges.
Malimwe further said in a brief media statement, that three police officers who were injured during the fracas, were treated as out-patients at Nkhotakota District Hospital.
