Patrick Mabedi appointed as flames caretaker coach

Football Association of Malawi (Fam) has appointed Patrick Mabedi as caretaker coach for the Malawi National Football Team.

The decision was made during Fam Executive Committee Meeting in Salima Saturday.

Mabedi, who is Under 20 Coach and former Flames assistant coach, has replaced Mario Marinica whose contract will not be renewed beyond April 30.

A statement from Fam indicates that the Executive Committee settled for Mabedi for continuity as he was assistant to Marinica.

Mabedi will be incharge of the team during the 2023 Cosafa Cup in Durban, South Africa next month.
