Mutharika hires Gangata, MP Musowa

Former President Peter Mutharika has appointed Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Member of Parliament for Mulanje Bale Victor Musowa as new regional secretary for the South.

This has been confirmed in a statement made available to faceofmalawi seen by this publication.

According to the statement, Mutharika has also appointed Alfred Gangata, owner of Masters Security Company as regional secretary for Central region.

The appointment of the two is with effect from May 2, 2023.

“Congratulations to Hon Victor Musuwa MP and Hon Alfred Gangata for being appointed as the DPP southern region secretary and central region secretary respectively.

“The Democratic Progressive Party takes a serious step towards the party’s rebuilding process in preparation to 2025 general tripartite elections,” reads in part the statement.
