No room for children to bet with premier bet online platforms

Premier Bet Malawi Limited says strict measures have been put in place against children attempting to register and bet on their online platform.

Officials from the company made the remarks when they appeared before the Parliamentary Committee on Media and information to explain the operation of the institution amidst growing cases of online gambling as well as reported cases of addiction among children.

Trevor Whiteker Commercial Director of Premier Bet Malawi, said the company has put in place strict measures to make sure that customers are meeting the legal age before being registered.

Whiteker said premier Bet has been engaging with the regulatory bodies to ensure that customers are gambling responsibly.

Meanwhile Susan Dossi Chairperson of Parliamentary Committee on Media and information, has expressed satisfaction with how the company has created job as well as business opportunities to locals.
