Chief Justice for England and Wales jets in Malawi


The Lord Chief Justice for England and Wales, Lord Burnett of Maldon, is in the country to strengthen the judicial relationship between the countries.

On Friday morning, Lord Burnett met members of the judiciary in Blantyre where he has also visited court premises.

While in the country, Lord Burnett is expected to hold meetings with Malawi’s judiciary and representatives of legal and human rights bodies.

Lord Burnett is also expected to deliver a public lecture at University of Malawi’s School of Law, Economics and Governance.
