Teenage boy takes own life in Nsanje

An 11-year-old boy from Nsanje identified as Yamikani Zakeyo has been found hanging from a tree in in Nsanje district.
Nsanje District Police Office spokesperson, Sub Inspector Agnes Zalakoma has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Zalakoma, the boy allegedly used a rope.
It is reported that yesterday the boy left his Nthukuso village in the area of Traditional Authority Malemia to play football at a nearby ground but never returned home and efforts to trace him ended in vain.
Medics indicate that the cause of death is suffocation secondary to hanging, according to the law enforcers.
