Escom Buys Five Transformers To Boost Power Supply In Lilongwe

People from Kanengo and Old town in Lilongwe have a reason to smile as the Electricity Supply Cooperation of Malawi (Escom)have bought five transformers to bought to improve and upgrade substations of power in the areas .

The transformers were bought using a grant the government obtained through Jica on Escom’s behalf.

Escom Regional Manager for the Central George Matukuta, speaking in an interview on Tuesday in Dedza, during the offloading of the transformers, said the equipment will help increase electricity supply in the district.
