Senior Chief Malemia’s burial Saturday

The body of Senior Chief Malemia of Nsanje District will be laid to rest this coming Saturday at his home district.

The Senior Chief died on Tuesday, 15th August, 2023 at Mwaiwathu Hospital in Blantyre where he was being treated of Kidney Failure.

Deputy Minister of Local Government, Unity and Culture, Hon. Owen Chomanika M.P will attend the burial ceremony on behalf of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.

This morning send-off prayers for the departed chief were held at Shalom Tabernacle Church in Manase Township, Blantyre.

Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Campaign Director Moses Kunkuyu, Brown Mpinganjira and other party top officials attended the ceremony.

The fallen Mang’anja Chief is survived by a wife, seven children and 10 grandchildren.
