Kunkuyu Orders MACRA To Withdrawal Injuction Obtained Against Multichoice Malawi

The Ministery of Information has ordered the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority -MACRA to immediately vacate their injunction obtained against Multichoice Malawi to effect price adjustments.
Minister responsible Moses Kunkuyu said it was necessary for MACRA to consult the Ministry of Information for direction on the issue.
Kunkuyu has among others highlighted that, they are expecting MACRA to act as soon as possible.
As it is now it’s very tricky if MACRA can decide to withdraw the injunction today, but still more, there is a case which Multichoice initiated, hearing is tomorrow.
