A 27-year-old man from Woodlands in Lusaka has been detained by police in connection with the death of a 21-year-old Levy Mwanawasa Medical University student named Chipo Lufwandika.
She had visited her boyfriend in Woodlands, and on August 27, 2023, he took her to the hospital, claiming she had slipped and hit her head.
However, her friends later confronted him at the funeral house, leading to the revelation that the initial story was false.
Police have now launched an investigation into the matter, and the suspect is in custody.
