Police in Limbe have launched manhunt to unknown people who have killed A 24 Year old woman at Manje township in Limbe near a bus stage.
Limbe police spokesperson Sergeant Aubrey Singanyama has confirmed the death and identified the deceased as Grace Cosmas.
According to Singanyama, on September 04,2023 Cosmas was on a drinking spree in the area after visiting her husband who is in police custody at kabula police in Blantyre and did not return home.
Singanyama, further said that, the late Cosmas was found lying dead near the bus stage on September 04,2023 at around 0600hrs by people who were passing by.
Her lifeless body was taken to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital where postmortem examination showed that, she died due to Strangulation and further medical report indicates that Cosmas was raped before being murdered.
The report shows that her private parts had violent marks and a used condom was found near her dead body.
Meanwhile Limbe Police has since instituted investigations to arrest the suspected criminals behind this heinous act.
Grace Cosmas was from Misesa village under Senior Chief Kapeni in Blantyre district.
