Nankhumwa cheers veteran journalist Steve Bombeya (see photos)

Leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa who is also Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the South on Friday cheered one of the country’s veteran journalists, Steve Bombeya at his home in Nacholi, Blantyre.
Bombeya has been unwell for some time now.
Speaking after the visit Nankhumwa said: “He is one of the veteran journalists whom most up and coming journalists look up to for advise, he is our source of wisdom in the media circle that is why I keep checking on him.”
On his part Bombeya hailed Nankhumwa for the gesture.
“I did not expect to see you here today. This is a big surprise to me and may God bless you abundantly”, said Bombeya.
Bombeya once worked with The Nation Publications and Times Media Group.
