Bullets record three consecutive draws

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have dropped points again after played out to a goalless draw with Blue Eagles FC on Sunday afternoon at Nankhaka Stadium in Lilongwe.

The peoples team failed to end their winless run with another stalemate in a highly contested match against the area 30 based side.

The two half’s of the match produced a balanced possession from the two teams with both sides creating a number of golden scoring opportunities, but it was not an entertaining match as both sides used secondary balls due to the nature of the pitch.

In a post-match interview, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets coach, Kallisto Pasuwa, attributed the draw to the fixture congestion which his team is facing, saying his players are tired.

“I have been talking of the number of days that you are giving us to play football, we cannot be playing in space of three days, one day you recover the other day you’re training and the other day you’re having a match.

“We are having so many injuries and if you can see also the officiating that we are receiving this time around, all my players who got injured this year no opposition player was cautioned,” said Pasuwa.

Blue Eagles head coach, Eliya Kananji, said his team played so well that they could have won the match but they did not utilize the chances that they had.

“Let me thank my boys for their good performance, the game was tough and we could have collected all the 3 points if we had used the chances that we had, we will try all our best to collect maximum points when we face MAFCO,” Kananji said.

Bullets now have 56 points from 27 games while second-placed Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, who have played a game more than Maule, have 54 points, Silver Strikers come third with 53 points having played 28 games.
