Man wanted for forcibly abducting 8 girls

Police in Kasungu are looking for 37- year- old Matias Saka, who is suspected of forcibly abducting 8 girls.

Spokesperson of Police in the district, Joseph Kachikho, said that Matias lied to the parents of the children that he works with an organization in Kasungu district that pays school fees for children.

But when they arrived in Kasungu district, the children were surprised that instead of sending them to school, they got a rented house in Chiteyeye, where they were forced to sleep with the suspect since October.

This is what caused one of the girls to tell the police who rushed to the house to rescue them.

According to the social welfare office in Kasungu district, out of the 8 girls, 7 are from Ntchisi district, where Saka also comes from, while one is from Kapelula area in Kasungu district.
