Govt Urges Chief Education Officer To Be Professional

Government through the Ministry of education  has warned chief education officers in the country not to accept any project coming in their districts without verification from the Ministry.
The sentiments has been made by Principal Secretary for Education Chikondano Mussa on Tuesday when she was speaking in Lilongwe during the opening session of effective leadership and management course for chief education officers (CEOs).
Mussa  has also  said that adequate scrutiny to the incoming programs will help to protect learners.
Mussa urged the CEOs to be professional all the time and to be on top of the game discharging their duties.
Mussa who was accompanied by Director of basic education Mrs Grace Milner and the head of programs Mr Humphreys Mndaka at Malawi School Of Government, said the CEOs have a duty to protect learners.
Anita Kaliu a CEO in Blantyre urban commended Ministry of education for the training by saying that the training will help them to be effective district manager.
