Toyota Sienta gutted down by fire in Dedza

Five people have escaped unhurt at Golomoti in Dedza after a Toyota Sienta they were travelling in caught fire on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident happened along Khwekhwelele road.

It is said that the fire broke out near the driver’s seat who tried to control it by applying brakes but he failed.

It took the intervention of well-wishers to rescue the passengers.

Meanwhile, the vehicle has been extensively damaged by the fire.
