Moyale, Silver, Bangwe, Book Castel Cup Quarter Final Places

Moyale Barracks, Silver Strikers and Bangwe All Stars are through to the Castel Challenge Cup quarter-finals after winning their round of 16 matches.

Moyale Barracks came from behind to beat Mighty Wakawaka Tigers 3-2 at Mzuzu Stadium after, Gastin Simkonda, came off the bench to score twice and assist the other goal to help his side reach the Castel Cup Quarter Finals.

Silver Strickers showed no mercy after thrashing non-league side, Ekwendeni United 7-0 at Bingu National Stadium to reach the quarter-finals of the Castel Challenge Cup.

George Chaomba scored a hattrick while Patcrick Macheso scored a brace and Nickson Mwase, Zebron Kalima scored a goal each to help the central bankers book a place in the quarter finals.

Ekwendeni United scored a consolation goal after Dan Sibale managed to beat Thom from close range.

Meanwhile, Bangwe All Stars beat Moyale Barracks at Mpira Stadium after Talandira Chigaula scored the only goal of the Match to Knock out the Salima based soldiers.

The three teams have joined, Chitipa United, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers and Ekwendeni Hammers who already made into the last eight.
