DPP Councillor Leonard Chimbanga robbed in Blantyre

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Councillor for Blantyre City Soche East Ward Leonard Chimbanga has been robbed by unknown thugs in Naperi, Blantyre.

Chimbanga confirmed of the development in a statement posted on his official facebook page seen by this publication.

According to Chimbanga, the incident happened last night and the unknown thieves went away with a laptop, iPad and other assorted items.

“Last night I was robbed of my laptop bag in Naperi Mibawa around 7pm near Steven’s gardens. The bag apart from the laptop and iPad had all my ATM cards, drivers license, Medical insurance, Total Fuel and national Identity card. Help with information to recover should you come across. Call 0882323721 or report to the nearest police,” wrote Chimbanga.

Meanwhile, it is not yet known as to whether the robbery incident has been reported to police or not.
