Strong Winds Wreak Havoc In Mzimba

Strong winds have blown off two classroom blocks and a storage room at Bwengu Primary School in Mzimba District yesterday.

Bwengu Primary School headteacher, Eric Munthali said no injuries have been recorded and they have reported the incident to the authorities.

Munthali added that the failure to fix the damage soon might affect learning at the school as school will resume in a week.

On December 12 this month, heavy rains and strong winds also blew off the roofs of a school block and a teacher’s house at Mtendere Junior Primary School in the same area.
