Malawi Women’s National Football Team Captain, Tabitha Chawinga, has been included in the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) Confederation of African Football (CAF) women’s team of the year 2023.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward is among the deadly front three, alongside Nigerian Asisat Oshoala and Zambian Barbara Banda.
IFFHS announced last night the team of the best CAF players in the women’s category for 2023.
Other players that are in the best eleven are, Lebohang Ramalepe, Osinachi Ohale, Fatima Tagnaout, Refiloe Jane, Chiamaka Nnadizie, Linda Motlhalo, Refilwe Tholakele and Nesryne El Chad.
Chawinga has been instrumental for the Parisian since joining them on loan from Chinese side Wuhan Jianghan as she has scored 11 goals in all competitions.
