There have been a huge debate on Malawi social media platforms between Degree holders and those who don’t have Degrees.
The debate started when Malawi’s veteran musician Dan Lu, posted picture on his facebook page captioned “My fellow savages who don’t know how to speak English but we have money than those who have Degrees, lets gather here”
The caption, has triggered anger to former NepMan’s manager Kabol Lombwe, who went straight to his facebook page and made a post against what Dan posted.
“If you say Degree is just a paper and it has no value in this life, then you should go to traditional doctors when you seek medical assistant because medical doctors have degrees as well”, says the post.
However the debate has rose into fight of words among Malawian netzen as others are backing Dan Lu’s post and others are backing Kabol.
Meanwhile, the situation has forced Dan to go live on his facebook page addressing issues concerning him as an artist for being mocked with several names like savage, Nyengaton and clearing what he meant on his caption.
Dan says the post was not meant to diss degree holders but it was meant to motivate those hustling without any educational background.
Kabol Lombwe deliberately twisted the post to gain likes and to tarnish Dan’s image. He also tried to do the same with Lucius Banda and Stitch Fray said Dand
Most Malawians don’t know his life story as such his next album will be 50% about this. Dan will drop the first single on 1st Feb and the entire album will drop month end, said Dan Lu.
He Continues saying that kabol don’t know how to sing and he cant even beat him face face.
In his response, kabol has posted that Dan once snatch someone’s wife when wanted to offer him a record deal.
He is just raising someone’s child as Dan is infertile, adds Kabol Lombwe
Meanwhile, Kabol Lombwe went back on his facebook account and deleted the post.
