Silver Strikers part ways with coach Pieter de Jongh

Silver Strikers have announced the departure of Peiter De Jongh from his position as Head Coach of the club effective 26th January 2024.

The central bankers disclosed the departure of the Dutch man through their official Facebook page.

According to the statement, the decision has been made following the trophyless 2023 season as De Jongh failed to accomplish targets which silver set.

“The decision to part ways with De Jongh was made after a thorough evaluation of the team’s performance against set targets and obligations, while we appreciate the efforts and dedication De Jongh has shown during his tenure with the club, the decision to part ways has been made in the best interest of the club’s future objectives and aspirations,” reads part of the statement.

However, the club has said it will soon commence the process of recruiting a new mentor

De Jongh joined the area 47 side in February last season on a two-year deal but he has only served 1 year as Silver failed to clinch any silverware in the 2023 football season.
