The Industrial Relations Court in Blantyre has ordered Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (Admarc) to compensate its 3282 former employees for unfair dismissal.

In January 2022, these employees were terminated following an order from the then Minister of Agriculture, Lobin Lowe.

The court has ruled in favor of the dismissed workers, marking a significant victory for them.

The amount of compensation for the former Admarc employees will be assessed at a later stage.
