Zambia Army Officer Sharon Chiluba dies

Death has been announced the death of Zambia Army officer Captain Sharon Chiluba.

Chiluba died on Saturday, 17th February, 2024 at Maina Soko Medical Centre in Lusaka.

“Zambia Army commander Lieutenant General Sitali Dennis Alibuzwi, Officers, Soldiers and Civilian Employees of the Zambia Army, with sorrowful hearts, mourn Captain Sharon Chiluba who died on Saturday, 17th February, 2024 at Maina Soko Medical Centre in Lusaka,” reads part of the statement from Army.

Captain Chiluba joined Zambia Army on 17 January, 2019 and was posted to 1 Medical Unit.

She served as a Nurse in-Charge of Psychosocial Counselling, Couple Counselling and Registered Critical Care Nurse, an appointment she held until her demise.

Capt Chiluba was born in 1985 in Kabwe, Central Province. She leaves behind two children.
