Unknowns Thieves Break Into Radio Maria Container, Steal New Equipment (Watch Video)

Unknown thieves are suspected to have gone away with new equipment for Radio Maria in Lilongwe.

Stadion’s Director of Programs Father Joseph Kim, has confirmed the development and said the incident happened between the night of February 19 and 20, 2024.

According to Fr. Kimu , the thieves broke into a container that arrived from Italy full of new broadcasting equipment for the radio’s new headquarters in area 43 in Lilongwe.

“This incident has really devastated our plans to move to Lilongwe and do the inauguration ceremony on August 24, the same date scheduled for the Silver Jubilee of Radio Maria Malawi,” said Fr. Kimu.

Meanwhile, the station will soon establish the value of the stolen materials and the police have launched manhunt to catch them.
