Police Officer Drowns in Rukuru River in Rumphi

Information reaching this publication indicates that a police officer in Rumphi has drowned in the South Rukuru River in the district.

Officials from Rumphi police station have confirmed and identified the police officer as Ngamanya Mbale.

Report says that this occurred at Sand bag executive lodge which is close to the River.

Searching of his body is currently underway.
