An angry mob in Nsanje has set a blaze to death a man accused of being involved in murder of their sibling.
It is being reported that Hezekiya Macheka who hails from Mkango village, last night of 20 March 2024, went to nearby village Kalumbi to look for his son Manuel Khisimisi who was there to get money under cash transfer program.
Upon reaching the village, Khisimisi was reported dead after being beaten by Kalumbi people for suspecting him being a thief and set ablaze his body.
When the matter reported to Khisimisi’s family, Mkango villagers stormed kalumbi village for revenge and caught Smile Thomas for suspecting him being involved in Khismisi’ murder.
The mob, beat Thomas to dead and suddenly set a blaze his body.
Meanwhile, Spokesperson for Nsanje Police Agness Zalakoma has confirmed the development and said the remains of Khisimis and Thomas have taken to Hospital for medical postmortem.
