‘We don’t want Cyclone politics between Chilima and Chakwera’-Usi

Minister of Forestry and Climate Change Michael Usi has called religious leaders and well-meaning Malawians to pray for President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his Vice Dr. Saulos Chilima.

Usi made the call during Cyclone Freddy Memorial Service held at Mulanje Stadium in Mulanje District presided over by Chakwera.

According to Usi, Cyclone Freddy caused havoc in the country and Malawians should not allow cyclone politics to destroy the good relationship between Chakwera and Chilima.

“Sitikufuna cyclone politics pakati pa a Chakwera ndi a Chilima. Sitikufuna cyclone ndale muno ayi,” said Usi while attracting ululations from people gathered at the stadium.

Usi went on to call for unity among UTM and MCP supporters.
