3 Nabbed For Jumping On Stadium Seats (Watch Video)

Lingadzi Police Station has arrested three people in connection with theft and vandalism at Bingu National Stadium (BNS) in Lilongwe during the 4-Nations Tournament.

The arrested suspects are Moses Misheck, Alfred Kolobasi and Dalitso Nkhoma who were captured dancing on recklessly on chairs video goes viral.

Lingadzi Police publicist Cassim Manda has confirmed the arrest and said the first two suspects were arrested on March 26, 2024 after being caught on camera jumping on stadium chairs, which police believe was one of the acts that damaged the stadium’s seats.

The other suspect, Nkhoma was nabbed on March 23, 2024 after law enforcers at BNS Police Unit caught him taking out drainage covers.

Manda said Lingadzi Police Station will not tolerate criminal acts and will not hesitate to arrest anyone found damaging the stadium, let alone stealing.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has since applauded the police for doing a good job.

“The Ministry is happy that some suspects have been arrested a development that will help to curb property damage and theft at the stadium.Deliberately, some individuals engage in tendencies that destroy stadium property including chairs which we condemn in strongest terms.

We are looking forward to the conclusion of the matter in court,” said the Ministry spokesperson Macmillan Mwale.

Moses Misheck, 18, from Kasinja village, Traditional Authority Njolomole in Ntcheu district, Alfred Kolobasi, 18, of Kapenuka village, Traditional Authority Kamenyagwaza in Dedza district and 23-year-old Dalitso Nkhoma, who hails from Mchezi village in the area of Traditional Authority Tsabango in Lilongwe district.
