A 13-year-old girl of Choma’s Zambia Compound was subjected to a double unfortunate ordeal after she was pursued with beatings by the wife to a man who was defiling her.
The man in question has been identified as the uncle to the victim.
Southern Province Commissioner of Police, Auxensio Daka, notes that on March 31, 2024, around 08:00 hours, the victim left her mother’s place and went to her grandmother within Zambia Compound to help her with house chores.
Daka states that around 18:00 hours, uncle to the victim of the same abode is said to have called the girl in the grandmother’s house and started touching her breasts as well as inserting his fingers in her private part.
He says the suspect later had canal knowledge of his niece and when the man’s wife found him in the act, she got upset and started beating girl.
Daka narrates that the victim ran back home to her mother and was pursued by the suspect’s wife who was shouting behind her.
He notes that the victim’s mother was alerted by the noise and reported the matter at Shampande Police Post, with a Medical Report issued.
The victim complained of stomach pains.
