Police in Ntchisi have arrested five suspects on allegations that they stoned to death Grace Chilemba over witchcraft accusations.
Spokesperson for Ntchisi Police Salomy Zgambo has identified the suspects as Feston Chitsamba, Kachaje Chimera, William Bredala, Christina Chibade and Misonzi Bredala.
Zgambo says the husband to Grace died suddenly early this year.
“After burial, people from the husband’s side started accusing the wife of practicing witchcraft; alleging this led to the death of their relative.
“On January 19, the suspects stormed the house of Grace and stoned her to death before dragging her body which they later dumped in to the river,” explains Zgambo
