Kalindo’s case back in court for defence

The Senior Resident Magistrate Court in Mangochi is this morning hearing defence of activist Bon Kalindo, who was found with a case to answer in April this year following accusations of inciting violence.

Kalindo is alleged to have assembled people in Mangochi town on November 30 last year and allegedly incited them to propose violence, a development which resulted in damage of vehicles for both government and individuals.

During previous proceedings, Kalindo pleaded not guilty to the charge and has been on bail.
