Police in Ntchisi have arrested a 30-year-old man for defiling a 3 year-old girl.
Ntchisi police spokesperson Salomy Zgambo said that the suspects name is Wako Mkwepu
Zgambo said that people found Mkwepu defiling the girl behind the house of the girl’s grandmother, this made him to run away because he was afraid that people will beat him.
Results from Ntchisi hospital confirmed that the girl was defiled and this made the police to arrest Mkwepu.
Zgambo said that the suspect will soon appear before court to answer charges of defilement.
The suspect hails from Kafwafwa village headman Kalumo in the district.
