Informational reaching this publication indicates that armed police officers this morning stormed Supreme Court of appeal premises in Blantyre with an attempt to disrupt the sit-in that has been staged by the Judiciary support staff and some magistrates.
The armed police officers forcefully removed tree branches that the striking staff used to block an entrance to the High Court premises.
According to information at hand, the law enforcers acted from from an instruction from above since President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera will be at Chichiri Trade Fair Grounds where he will be opening this year’s International Trade Fair.
Meanwhile, Judicial staff are currently in meeting to map the way forward.
