38-Year-Old Thief Back in Custody for Targeting UNIMA Students in Zomba

A 38-year-old man named Edward Mayele is in police custody for terrorizing University of Malawi (UNIMA) students.
Mayele, a habitual and elusive criminal, was recently released from prison three months ago. He had been serving a three-year sentence for a similar offense.
According to Police spokesperson Inspector Patricia Sipiliano, Mayele was stealing cellphones and laptops from students around the Chikanda area.
The police are yet to produce the suspect before court.
