Peter Mutharika’s Attendance at Chilima’s Funeral Uncertain Due to Security Concerns

The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has evaluated the security situation and has not disclosed whether their leader, Peter Mutharika, will attend Chilima’s funeral.

The party’s spokesperson, Shadrec Namalomba, stated that Chilima died in an accident while going to a funeral, and for security reasons, they are not disclosing the time Mutharika will be present at the funeral in Lilongwe or Ntcheu.

Namalomba said Mutharika is deeply affected by this death because he was the one who mentored Chilima in politics.
