OVER 21000 HOUSEHOLD TO BENEFIT FROM SOCIAL CASH TRANSFER PROGRAM IN MZIMBA

As the social cash transfer program re-targeting process is underway in Mzimba district, over 21000 households are expected to benefit from this initiative

Speaking during a stakeholder meeting, a Deputy Director of Social Welfare responsible for social cash transfer program, Laurent Kansinjiro said the program is changing the lives of beneficiaries especially that they are food secure and  it has economic multiplying effect in the communities

Meanwhile, Inkosi Kampingo Sibande hailed the program as one of the best programs because many vulnerable people in the district were missed during the Universal Beneficiary Registration exercise.
