A man who fled after being suspected of killing his wife in Kapesi village, Dedza, has now been apprehended and is in police custody.
The suspect, 28-year-old Petro Waite, was found hiding in the Dedza hills.
The Kapesi community said that Waite’s wife, Milika, was found dead in their home following a domestic altercation between the two.
Meanwhile, police in Dedza are yet to make a comment on Waite’s arrest.
Waite is expected to appear before court soon to answer charges related to murder.
