Minibus Owners Association Urges Public to Avoid Overloaded Minibuses After Deadly Kasungu Crash

The Minibus Owners Association of Malawi (MOAM) has urged people to avoid boarding overloading vehicles as a way to reduce road accidents.

The association’s spokesperson, Coxley Kamange, made this statement following recent accidents. Yesterday, 26 people died in an accident that occurred on the Chinkhoma-Mchinji main road in Kasungu District.

The minibus involved in the accident was completely destroyed by fire, including all passengers, the driver, and the conductor.

Another accident also claimed lives of 4 people in Zomba.
