AFORD Hosts Convention; DPP, UTM and Others Attend

The Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) is set to hold its major conference today in Lilongwe to elect new leaders for the next five years.
Currently, party followers are arriving, and representatives from invited parties—including the United Democratic Front (UDF), United Transformation Movement (UTM), People’s Party (PP), and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)—have also arrived for the conference.
The party’s spokesperson, Annie Maluwa, stated that more than 90 positions are expected to be filled.
