South African Police officer, Constable Vincent Kekana, 42, who allegedly stabbed his wife to death, has been denied bail by the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court.

He is accused of stabbing his wife multiple times on September 2, 2024. Sadly, his wife passed away upon arrival at a nearby clinic.

Reports suggest that Constable Kekana arrived home around 9PM and got into a dispute with his wife, ultimately resorting to violence by stabbing her in front of their two young children, aged seven and two.

The older child ran outside to seek help from neighbors, who intervened, apprehended Constable Kekana, and handed him over to authorities.

He was subsequently charged with murder, with the case being investigated by IPID.

The court’s decision to deny him bail was based on his failure to provide substantial reasons for his release.

The proceedings have been postponed until November 22, 2024, for further inquiries.
