The orientation of the newly elected National Governing Council (NGC) of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is currently underway at Lotus Hotel in the commercial capital Blantyre.
Former President Peter Mutharika has also arrived at the venue and he is presiding over the orientation ceremony.
Upon his arrival, Mutharika was welcomed by leader of opposition Dr. George Chaponda and DPP Vice President for the South Joseph Mwanamvekha.
The NGC members were elected at the convention held in August this year in Blantyre.
