Mighty Mukuru Wanderers FC midfielder Mphatso Kamanga departed for South Africa on Thursday morning for orthopedic knee surgery at Matseke Hospital in Johannesburg.
“You’ll recall we sent Kamanga to Zimbabwe last November for arthroscopy and meniscectomy at West-End Clinic. However, specialists determined the injury needed advanced repair, which Zimbabwe couldn’t provide. That’s why we’re sending him to South Africa,” said Ndovi.
Before his departure, Kamanga expressed gratitude for the club’s support. “Not all clubs can do this for their players. I’m thankful to Wanderers and hope to recover soon to return to the pitch,” he said.
Kamanga suffered a torn meniscus in August 2024 during a match against Dedza Dynamos. He joined Wanderers in December 2022 from Karonga United.
