Zambian Man Arrested For Killing Wife Over Marital Disputes

A 27-year-old woman from Sinda District, Eastern Province in Zambia, has been brutally murdered, allegedly by her husband following a marital dispute.
Lexina Sakala was found dead in her home in Chamabvu Township on January 28, 2025, with a catapult, wire, and a mosquito net tied around her neck.
Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer Robertson Mweemba confirmed that Sakala sustained bruises around her neck, indicating she was strangled.
Her husband, 34-year-old Zakaria Banda, has been arrested and is now in police custody as investigations continue.
