The police in Lilongwe have arrested two men on suspicion of being part of a group of thieves who stole K7 million and a security guard’s gun at Malembo’s Admarc in Kasiya.
The Lilongwe police spokesperson, Hastings Chigalu, has said that they believe that these criminals did this on the night of January 29 this year.

Along with five accomplices who are still being hunted, they are believed to have tied up the security guard and taken the money box.
Mr. Chigalu said that their investigation has caught the two who admitted that they did this, and led the police to Malembo’s cemetery where the thief hid the gun.
The police are currently searching for the other suspects and trying to recover the stolen money.
Mr Chalemera is from Salamba T/A Chiwaula village in Lilongwe, while Mr Banda is from T/A Makwangwala in Ntcheu.
